Entiat, Washington (January 6, 2020) – Four people were injured in a crash involving a Chelan Coutny Sheriff vehicle on State Route 97 Alt. According to the report from KHQ News, the driver and two passengers from the civilian vehicle were taken to the hospital with possibly serious injuries. The deputy from the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office was also taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

According to the report from KIMA News, the crash occurred just before 8 a.m. on milepost 219 of the highway. KHQ News reports that the passenger vehicle was headed south on the highway when the driver lost control, causing the car to cross the center line and strike the northbound deputy’s car. Poor roadway conditions were a factor in the crash. Alternate routes were set up while the crash was blocking the scene.

In rollover collisions, the car will come to rest on its side or roof, resulting in a dangerous situation which passengers might need to be extricated from. In side collisions, the greatest risk comes to the passenger on the particular side that received the impact. No matter the type of accident, all crashes are bound to cause a dreadful situation for all involved.
