Employee cleaning oil spill hit, killed by passing car in Olympia

OLYMPIA, WA – A worker who was cleaning an oil spill on the street at the intersection of Littlerock Rd SW and 93rd Ave was hit and killed by a driver on Wednesday.

According to a Facebook post from the Thurston County Sheriff, the worker was cleaning the oil within the bounds of an area marked off by traffic cones. The driver who hit the worker stayed at the scene. Officials with the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office are investigating this accident and asking to speak with witnesses. It is not clear whether any charges will be filed against the driver.
