EVERETT, WA – A man in a wheelchair was struck by a driver who then fled the scene of the accident in Everett yesterday, according to KOMO News.

The accident happened near the intersection of Broadway Ave and 18th Street last night when the driver of a silver 2013 Chevrolet Impala struck a man in a wheelchair before fleeing the scene.

The victim, who has yet to be publicly identified, was taken to the hospital for the treatment of non-critical wounds.

Authorities are asking possible witnesses to come forward with information about the suspect, who will be facing a charge of felony hit-and-run in the accident.

Everett officials closed Broadway for the investigation and cleanup of the accident.
