SEATTLE, WA – A driver of an allegedly stolen vehicle was fleeing an early-morning police pursuit in south Seattle when he collided with another car and seriously hurt its driver, then left the scene of the crash.

According to KOMO News, the incident began at about 4 a.m. yesterday when officers located a reportedly stolen vehicle and attempted to pull over its 34-year-old driver near the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr Way S and S Orcas St.

The driver fled the scene, beginning a police pursuit which ended when the suspect collided with another vehicle near 36th Ave S and S Genesee St. The driver allegedly attempted to flee the scene again, but was this time taken into police custody.

The other driver was brought to Harborview Medical for the treatment of serious injuries, including a possibly broken shoulder.

The suspect was not reported as injured in the collision.

He is facing multiple charges, including vehicular assault, hit-and-run, possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of narcotics, and fleeing from police.

The identities of the two drivers were not immediately available.
