ARLINGTON, WA – A 44-year-old man was killed early Tuesday morning after being struck by an SUV on the 2000 block of 236th Street NE in Arlington.

According to a press release from the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect fled the scene after striking the pedestrian around 3 a.m. Tuesday. Detectives believe the victim, who died at the scene, was likely in the street at the time of the accident.

Now, officials with the Collision Investigation Unit (CIU) are seeking witnesses to this accident who could help identify the suspect vehicle or the driver. CIU believes the driver was wearing a neon orange construction vest and camouflage pants at the time of the accident and may have been spotted walking along 236th Street NE.

Anyone with information concerning this event is encouraged to call the Sheriff’s Office’s tip line at 425-388-3845.
