Bicyclist seriously injured after collision with vehicle

TACOMA, WA – A bicyclist was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after getting into an accident with a car on the 1900 block of South Union Ave Wednesday morning.

According to the Tacoma Police Department, the accident occurred sometime around 10 a.m. Wednesday. The circumstances surrounding the accident are not clear, but it seems that the driver of the vehicle was uninjured.

The northbound and southbound lanes of South Union Avenue were blocked while police conducted an investigation. The bicyclist’s identity has not been released.
