Bicyclist critically injured after being struck by driver in SE Seattle
Request Free ConsultationSEATTLE, WA – A bicyclist was severely injured after being struck by a driver in the Dunlap neighborhood in southeast Seattle on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Seattle Police Department, the incident happened near the intersection of Wabash Avenue S and S Cloverdale Place at about noon.
A driver reportedly slowed down at a stop sign, then proceeded across the intersection, striking a male bicyclist whom the driver claims he did not see.
The cyclist was taken to Harborview medical with severe, life-threatening injuries, including a head wound.
Authorities do not believe that the driver was under the influence at the time of the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
