Bicyclist airlifted after colliding with minivan in Bremerton

BREMERTON, WA – A 56-year-old man from Bremerton was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center after colliding with a minivan at the intersection of 6th Street and Park Avenue on Thursday.

KOMO News reported that the bicyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, ignored a red light and biked through it on an electric bicycle. The minivan had a green light and was headed north on Park Avenue.

Officials said the bicyclist suffered serious injuries. The driver of the minivan, a 55-year-old woman, was not hurt.
