Bellevue, Washington – Bicyclist Dies Of Injuries Sustained From Getting Struck by Vehicle

Bellevue, Washington (March 22, 2020) – A bicyclist died from injuries sustained after getting struck by a vehicle on the intersection of Northeast 8th Street and Northup Way on Sunday afternoon. According to the article from KOMO News, the bicyclist, a 63 year-old man from Newcastle, was found on the scene with severe injuries and was taken to a hospital, where he died shortly after arriving. No word has been given if the driver was injured.

Officers and medics responded to the scene around 4 p.m. The cause and circumstances of the crash has not yet been reported, but the driver was said to have been making a left turn when he struck the bicyclist. The crash caused the intersection to be closed for several hours, but has since reopened.
