Aberdeen, Washington (December 14, 2019) – A driver sustained minor injuries after colliding with a street light and eventually crashing into a residence at the 500 block of North Alder Street on Saturday morning. The driver, a 59 year-old woman from Hoquiam, was taken to a hospital for treatment. Fortunately, the residents of the home were not injured in the crash.

Officers from the Aberdeen Police Department were called onto the scene around 6 a.m. on Saturday morning. Police reported that the driver had lost control of her vehicle, which led to the crash. Police suspect that the driver was impaired at the time of the accident, and has issued her a citation for DUI.
