RENTON, WA – A 59-year-old male motorcyclist died Tuesday after he crashed into a barrier while speeding southbound on Interstate 405.

According to KOMO News, the motorcyclist was riding at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the bike and veered across the left lanes, striking a barricade near the SR 167 exit. The force of the impact ejected the man from his seat, and he landed on the freeway.

The riderless bike drove onto SR 167 and off of the shoulder, falling 300 feet.
