26-year-old Texas man dies in wrong-way crash on I-90
Request Free ConsultationNORTH BEND, WA – A 26-year-old man died in a wrong-way crash involving a semi-truck on I-90 near Olallie State Park on Wednesday night, KOMO reports.
The victim was driving a Dodge pickup truck westbound in the eastbound lanes of I-90 around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday. That driver, whose identity has not been released, hit a trailer attached to an oncoming semi. The pickup then veered into an oncoming car.
The driver of the semi-truck, 46-year-old James Barnes, was not injured. The driver of the second vehicle, 59-year-old William Carroll, was taken to Overlake Hospital in an unknown condition.
Police are investigating why the pickup driver was headed in the wrong direction.
