17-year-old suspected of fleeing accident that killed 19-year-old
Request Free ConsultationUNIVERSITY PLACE, WA – A 17-year-old boy is suspected of fleeing the scene of a collision in University Place early this morning that led to the death of a 19-year-old driver.
According to KOMO News, the crash occurred in the 6700 block of 35th Street W at about 1 a.m., when a blue Mazda 3 collided with a silver Cadillac STS.
The driver of the Mazda, a 19-year-old girl, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second driver fled the scene on foot, leaving behind a black shoe and evidence that he had been hurt.
The owners of the Cadillac, the driver’s parents, told police that their son was in the hospital.
Police discovered he had a shoe matching the one found at the crime scene, and obtained a warrant to draw his blood.
The accident remains under investigation at this time.
