1 dead in head-on collision on SR 12 in Walla Walla County

LOWDEN, WA – One person died in a head-on collision involving two vehicles on State Route 12 near Lowden on Tuesday morning, State Trooper Thorson reported.
Reference the previous post: This has now turned into a fatality collision with one person deceased. WSP will be on scene for 2-3 hours conducting a full investigation into this unfortunate incident. Please use caution if you will be traveling through the area today.

It is not clear what caused the accident, which happened around 11 a.m. Tuesday morning. According to Thorson, one victim was taken to an area hospital via Life Flight.
Washington State Patrol is conducting a thorough investigation into the cause of the accident.
